Starting his coaching journey in 2007 at Hollywood Christian School, Marl Osceola set the bar high, initially serving as an assistant coach for the Girls Varsity Basketball team. Under his guidance, the team climbed the ranks, reaching the FHSAA State Semifinals in both the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 seasons. Their progress culminated in a State Runner-up title in 2009-2010, but they didn't stop there; the following season brought them the coveted FHSAA State Championship.

Marl’s unyielding commitment to excellence earned the team an ESPN national ranking, with a pinnacle at 36th in the nation. Further honors included an ESPN Rise National Invitation. During the subsequent season in 2011-2012, the team once again secured the FHSAA State Runner-up title, fortifying their esteemed reputation.

Transitioning to American Heritage School, Marl continued to make waves as an assistant coach for the Girls Varsity Basketball team. His influence was evident as the team consistently made impressive showings in FHSAA competitions, including appearances in both the Regional and District Semifinals. But Marl’s coaching aptitude wasn’t limited to the girls’ game; he also took the reins as Head Coach for the Boys Varsity Basketball team at Hollywood Christian School. During his tenure from 2010 to 2012, the team made laudable runs to both the District and Regional Semifinals. Further extending his reach, he nurtured burgeoning talent at the middle school level, heading both Girls and Boys Middle School teams at Hollywood Christian School from 2009 to 2012. His journey continued at American Heritage, where he played a vital role as an assistant coach for the Boys Varsity Basketball team, reaching the Regional Quarterfinals and District Semifinals in subsequent seasons.
Recent Accomplishments
In more recent years, Marl joined the coaching staff at Westlake Prep School, adding to his string of accomplishments by guiding the team to the SIAA State Final Four and securing back-to-back Phenom Hoops National Championships with the Westlake Post Grad team. Beyond academic institutions, Marl has been an integral figure in “Travel Basketball,” working with organizations like the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Below The Rim, Team Breakdown, and the Miami Suns. Here, he continued to coach and mentor young athletes across various competitive landscapes.
